Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a facilities electrician at the West Texas Van Horn site to install, maintain, and monitor electrical systems, and to lead junior electricians. The role supports rocket engine manufacturing and testing facilities, with focus on safety and equipment reliability.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, read blueprints, and implement system modifications while collaborating with a small, dedicated team committed to space exploration history.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma.
• Journeyman Electrician license (TX) required.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and electrical diagrams.
• Experience with electrical distribution systems and electrical equipment testing.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and monitor electrical equipment and components.
• Repair, replace, and test electrical circuits and devices.
• Lead and train other electricians in procedures.
• Plan electrical system additions and modifications.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance per engineering direction.
• Ensure safe handling of equipment and materials and promote safety culture.
