Job summary

UPMC Corporate Facilities Engineering and Maintenance is hiring a Facilities Dispatcher to join our team. The role includes daylight, evening and overnight shifts with onsite training; offsite work may be arranged after training based on department needs.

The candidate must reside in the Pittsburgh area and have call center or dispatch experience. Responsibilities include acting as the primary facilities contact for routine and emergency requests, providing CMMS support to maintenance staff, and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
• Accurate and timely documentation of call information per departmental standards.
• One year experience working in a call center or collaborative office setting required.
• Call center and/or dispatching experience is strongly preferred.
• Typing speed of 41+ WPM highly preferred.
• Demonstrable analytical skills with ability to think quickly under pressure.
• Must possess compassion, decision making and teamwork skills; multi-task and communicate via telephone/chat.
• Knowledge related to basic maintenance and facilities operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary facilities contact to handle routine and emergency requests per CMMS standards.
• Provide CMMS and technical support to maintenance staff for data entry, work requests, and staff availability; field emergencies.
• Preserve CMMS work order data integrity to enable time charge accuracy, labor productivity, and cost recovery information.
