Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Facilities Director, West to join our team. This remote role supports the US West region with a focus on leadership, service delivery, and long-term asset performance.

You will partner with clients and stakeholders to align staffing, budgets, and priorities, driving compliance, financial performance, and continuous improvement across regulated environments. Remote work available for US-based candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 8–12 years of related experience.
• Facility management certification preferred.
• Experience leading facilities teams and staff retention.
• Experience in regulated environments (pharma/biotech) preferred.
• Knowledge of GMP-regulated operations and asset lifecycle management.
• Strong leadership and budget/forecasting skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise facilities management teams with training and development.
• Coordinate daily activities, schedules, and staff mentoring.
• Align staffing and resources with client expectations through strategic review.
• Manage budgets and capital planning for long-term facility performance.
• Develop action plans to improve financial performance and efficiency.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to resolve issues and strengthen relationships.
• Ensure compliance with EH&S regulations and improve service delivery.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Facilities Director, West to join the team of a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space.

This role will lead facilities operations across the western region, with a strong focus on team leadership, service delivery, and long-term asset performance. The position will partner closely with clients and stakeholders to align staffing, budgets, and operational priorities with business needs. It will also help drive compliance, financial performance, and continuous improvement across regulated facility environments.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $165,000 – $185,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise facilities management teams, ensuring effective training and development
• Coordinate daily activities, establish work schedules, and mentor staff to support operational excellence
• Review strategic plans to align staffing and resource allocation with client expectations
• Manage budgets and capital planning for long-term facility performance
• Create action plans to enhance financial performance and operational efficiencies
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to resolve issues and strengthen relationships
• Drive compliance with environmental health and safety regulations and improve service delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or 8-12 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Facility management certification preferred
• Experience in staffing, training, and employee retention within facilities management
• Background in regulated environments such as pharmaceutical or biotechnology preferred
• Knowledge of GMP-regulated operations and asset lifecycle management is essential
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and achieve departmental targets
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and Excel
