Job summary

A premier retirement community in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Maintenance Director. This role involves maintaining the grounds and inside areas, overseeing community equipment repair, and ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations. Candidates should have maintenance experience and knowledge of repair techniques. Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance preferred; familiarity with techniques of minor repair and maintenance for structural, electrical, plumbing, security and heating and cooling systems required.
• Experience in building safety and hazard reduction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains grounds, including outside building repair, lawn maintenance, and garbage removal.
• Maintains inside of building, offices, and common areas.
• Maintains and/or oversees repair of Community equipment; ensures that equipment is functioning properly, and staff are trained appropriately in its use.
• Prepares apartments for move-in and refurbishing of units after move-out.
• Maintains fire safety and emergency records, maintenance of systems and inspections required by state.
