Job summary

Catholic Charities Worcester County is seeking a Director of Maintenance & Work Program to oversee all agency facilities, including repairs, safety, and construction projects, and to lead the Work Program that provides job skills and work experience at Crozier House.

The role requires strong leadership, facility management experience, and the ability to supervise staff and participants, coordinate with vendors, manage budgets, and ensure OSHA compliance and safe operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of facilities management or maintenance experience, including supervision of staff.
• Experience working with vulnerable or at-risk populations preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, including individuals in recovery.
• Knowledge of building systems, maintenance protocols, and OSHA safety standards.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical labor as needed, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and long-term planning for all agency facilities.
• Lead all phases of facility maintenance and construction projects, including cost estimates and timelines.
• Supervise facilities staff and Work Program participants, ensuring adequate coverage and quality of work.
• Provide hands-on training and mentorship to Work Program participants.
• Coordinate with program leadership to align Work Program with participant goals and agency mission.
• Monitor facilities for safety and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain records of maintenance, assignments, and project progress.
• Develop and manage maintenance-related budgets.
