Job summary

Scientific Search seeks a hands-on Director of Facilities to own operations in the Camden, NJ area, ensuring safe, compliant, and resilient lab environments while supporting plans for a new campus.

You will lead HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security; manage staff, contractors, and procurement; oversee service agreements; and handle permits and government reporting as the 24/7 facilities contact.

Qualifications

• Background in life science/medical research facility leadership.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing & building systems.
• Experience with building management systems and MS Office / Google Workspace.
• Proven ability to lead and manage staff, contractors, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead all facility operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and security.
• Manage facilities staff, contractors, vendors, and procurement.
• Oversee scientific equipment service agreements.
• Manage permits, compliance and government reporting.
• Serve as the 24/7/365 emergency facilities contact.
