Job summary

ARAMARK Healthcare in Miami, FL is seeking a Facility Maintenance and Engineering Manager to lead all unit activities related to facility maintenance and engineering services, ensuring regulatory compliance and safe, proactive operation.

You will oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing and life-safety systems, manage vendor relationships, and coordinate with client management to drive performance and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of healthcare maintenance management experience.
• Licensed for heating, piping and cooling work preferred (S-1/S2).
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements.
• Experience with building systems (boilers, chillers, generators, HVAC/R).
• Strong communications and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple client relationships and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Plans, administers and directs all unit activities related to facility maintenance and engineering services, including ARAMARK Healthcare and client financial accountability, and compliance with standards established by ARAMARK Healthcare, regulatory agencies and client.
• Delivers strong operational performance by executing against applicable standards and programs, monitoring operations and completing assessments and action plans to provide proactive facility maintenance and patient-safety focused operations.
• Ensures compliance with safety, Joint Commission and regulatory standards by appropriate local agencies.
• Oversees site utility systems including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, energy management, fire safety and grounds.
• Vendor management and client relationship maintenance, including conducting rounding.
• Provides overall direction and manages performance for all Facility and Maintenance Supervisors and front-line employees, ensuring development and engagement.
• Develops operational forecasts and explains variances.
• Responsible for accounting functions and capital budget program.
• Ensures consistent use of ISIS Pro modules to manage operations.
• Ensures compliance with all contract obligations.

Responsibilities

• Plans, administers and directs all unit activities related to facility maintenance and engineering services, including ARAMARK Healthcare and client financial accountability, and compliance with the standards established by ARAMARK Healthcare, regulatory agencies and client.
• Delivers strong operational performance by executing against Aramark, client, government and other regulatory agency standards and programs, continually monitoring operations and completing assessments and necessary action plans to provide an optimal, proactive, safely operating facility maintenance program which drives patient satisfaction.
• Ensures compliance with appropriate safety, Joint Commission and regulatory standards by appropriate local agencies.
• Oversight of all site utility systems to include electrical, heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, water treatment, energy management, fire safety, life safety and grounds.
• Vendor management.
• Interacts with Client Management and maintains effective client and customer relations at all levels of client organization, including conducting rounding. Identifies Aramark service expansion opportunities.
• Provides overall direction and manages performance for all Facility and Maintenance Supervisors and front-line employees, ensuring employee development, engagement and compliance with human resource related policies and standards, including conducting applicable rounding.
• Develops operational component forecasts and can explain variances.
• Responsible for component's accounting functions and capital budget program.
• Ensures consistent application and regular use of all ISIS Pro modules to properly manage the operation.
• Ensures compliance with all contract obligations.

Requirements

• Requires 5-7 years of healthcare maintenance management experience.
• License(s) for heating, piping and cooling work (such as S-1 or S2) preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
• Knowledgeable of all regulatory compliance requirements.
• Requires profit and loss (P&L) experience.
• Working knowledge and appropriate preventive maintenance of building systems (i.e., boilers, chillers, generators, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC/R)).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Demonstrated time management skills, resulting in the ability to manage multiple client relationships and prioritize time and resources accordingly.
• Microsoft office programs.
