The City of Virginia Beach's Public Works Facilities Design & Construction Division is seeking a capable project manager to oversee building design and major renovation projects. You will manage design and construction services, prepare estimates, and administer contracts while coordinating with multiple City departments and outside agencies.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, a Professional Engineer license, and five years of progressive professional experience, with the city

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related field.
• Possession of a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• Five years of progressive professional experience.
• Licensing and board requirements as specified by APELSCIDLA.

Responsabilidades

• Project management for building design and construction services.
• Design and review of construction and major renovation project plans and specifications.
• Prepare and review cost estimates and monitor project expenditures.
• Administer construction and engineering contracts.
• Review project plans for proper work sequencing, quality, and cost control.
• Coordinate with City departments and outside agencies.
• Communicate with City departments and the public.
• Conduct field assessments and related work as required.
