Job summary

VOALA is seeking an on-site Custodian to perform daily janitorial duties and minor repairs, ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and safety of facilities. You will report safety issues to management and follow established schedules while maintaining inventory and organization of supplies.

The role requires the ability to work with diverse clients served by VOALA programs, including at-risk populations. Fingerprint clearance, background checks, and health screenings are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must pass fingerprint clearance and background checks.
• DOJ Live Scan required.
• TB test required.
• Flu Vaccine or declination form.
• Must meet funder approval.
• Experience cleaning high foot traffic areas is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Daily janitorial tasks for interior and exterior areas; restock bathrooms and clean rooms.
• Perform minor repairs (carpentry, plumbing, painting) as needed.
• Follow supervisor's daily checklist; keep tools and supplies stocked and secure.
• Check facility for safety concerns and report deficiencies to management.
• Prepare and set up rooms for meetings and events; assist maintenance teams.
• Other duties as required and may change at any time.
