Job summary

Chesapeake Spice Co Llc is seeking a dependable custodian/porter to maintain cleanliness across the facility. You will service restrooms, sanitize kitchens, and keep floors and surfaces clean and safe while observing chemical handling procedures.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, trash separation, event setup, and reporting any sanitation issues or needed repairs. A High School Diploma or GED is required, with overtime and weekend availability as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a custodian or porter preferred.
• Ability to work in environments with chemicals and cleaning products.
• Stand on feet for the duration of the shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Occasional overtime and weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Keep building, grounds, plant and offices clean and orderly.
• Service, clean, and supply all restrooms; sanitize kitchen sinks, floors and drains.
• Clean, paint, and repair areas as needed; monitor security and after-hours safety.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and follow chemical handling procedures.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors; strip, seal, finish and polish floors.
• Take out trash and separate recyclables; report sanitation issues promptly.
• Set up spaces for events; dust furniture, walls, machines and equipment.
• Identify needed repairs and notify management; restock supplies as needed.
