Job summary

H-F Park District is seeking a part-time Irwin Center Custodian to upkeep the facility and assist with program setups, rentals, and events. You will perform cleaning, minor repairs, and operate standard maintenance tools under supervision.

The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and reliable attendance in a community-focused environment. Requirements include janitorial experience, a high school diploma or GED, and CPR/First Aid/AED certifications within 60 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Janitorial or cleaning experience is required.
• Certification in CPR/First Aid/AED within 60 days of employment and kept current.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous service to guests and staff throughout shifts.
• Clean interior and exterior areas of the facility.
• Secure windows and doors at the close of each shift.
• Operate common power tools and cleaning equipment.
• Set up spaces for programs, rentals and events.
• Report safety concerns to supervisor and follow Safety Manual rules.
• Assist with building maintenance and other duties as assigned.
