Job summary

City of DeLand is seeking an Utilities Custodian I to perform cleaning and housekeeping under supervision, supporting the Water & Sewer Admin team. The role involves vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning, window cleaning, and light maintenance using hand and power tools in an office and outdoor setting.

This full-time position requires good physical condition, ability to lift up to 60 pounds, and a valid Florida driver's license.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED preferred.
• Custodial/janitorial experience is preferred.
• Valid Florida driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine custodial work and minor repairs.
• Vacuum, dust, and mop; clean restrooms and fixtures.
• Clean interior/exterior windows; empty trash and recycle.
• Operate light hand truck and access overhead lights with a ladder.
