Job summary

BronxWorks is seeking a diligent building maintenance worker to support our Cornerstone programs and facilities across New York City. You will perform cleaning, safety checks, basic repairs, and sanitation duties to keep spaces ready for youth, families, and staff.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of building maintenance experience, strong English communication, and a valid driver’s license. Proficiency in computer use and willingness to travel within NYC boroughs are a plus.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of building maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in English required; second language preferred.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with beautification work as necessary.
• Perform groundwork to ensure facility surrounding is free of hazards and/or debris.
• Replenish restroom supplies and ensure restrooms are sanitized hourly.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, empty trash, clean windows, sanitation etc. regularly and as necessary
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor.
