Job summary

BronxWorks is seeking a full-time maintenance worker for our Bronx, NY facilities. The role focuses on beautification, housekeeping, and safe, clean environments across our Cornerstone programs.

Responsibilities include routine groundswork, restrooms sanitation, and coordinating with supervisors to meet daily needs. English proficiency required, while a second language is a plus; valid driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with beautification work as necessary.
• Perform groundwork to ensure facility surrounding is free of hazards and/or debris
• Replenish restroom supplies and ensure restrooms are sanitized hourly
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, empty trash, clean windows, sanitation etc. regularly and as necessary
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with beautification work as necessary.

• Strong communication and organization skills with the ability to work with multiple agency personnel
• Ability to climb and stand on a 15-foot ladder
• Ability to lift, pull, push and/or move a minimum of 60 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, crouch or sit for long periods of time
• Ability to climb five flights of stairs
• Ability to bend and retrieve objects
• Ability to travel for a minimum of 1 mile within a reasonable amount of time and in all types of weather, including inclement weather
