Job summary

BronxWorks is seeking a maintenance assistant to support Cornerstone community centers across NYC. You will assist with beautification, ensure facilities are safe, and perform general upkeep to support programs for youth, families, and seniors.

The role requires 1–2 years in building maintenance, English fluency, ability to lift 60 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, and willingness to travel short distances as needed.

Qualifications

• One to two years building maintenance experience.
• Proficiency in English required; proficiency in a second language preferred
• Valid driver’s license preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with beautification work as necessary.
• Perform groundwork to ensure facility surrounding is free of hazards and/or debris.
• Replenish restroom supplies and ensure restrooms are sanitized hourly.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, empty trash, clean windows, sanitation etc. regularly and as necessary
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor.
