Job summary

Grow Academy is accepting applications for a Custodian Substitute. The role supports year-round custodial maintenance, operating power equipment, buffers, vacuums, and cleaning floors, walls, bathrooms, kitchens, carpets and exteriors.

The position reports to the Facilities Supervisor and requires ability to perform varied cleaning tasks daily. Ideal candidates will have custodial experience in school or commercial settings and strong communication skills; bilingual ability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to work on multiple tasks with general supervision.
• Knowledge of basic cleaning methods and processes.
• Ability to follow instructions for chemicals and supplies.
• Strong oral communication; bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and mop assigned areas daily.
• Clean, mop and stock restrooms as needed.
• Dust horizontal surfaces 2-3 times per week.
• Empty outdoor trash containers daily.
• Assist with setup of facilities for meetings and events.
• Move furniture, equipment, supplies and tools as needed.
• Lock/unlock buildings; secure facilities when not in use.
• Keep grounds free from trash and litter.
• Report needed repairs to supervisor.
• Follow safety rules and proper procedures.
