Job summary

HJSRLLC is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain a safe, clean environment for students, staff, and the community. The role blends light groundskeeping with indoor cleaning and sanitation to keep facilities in top condition and ready for use.

The ideal candidate works independently, communicates effectively, and takes pride in supporting the school community. Training provided for custodial duties, grounds maintenance, and equipment operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1 year of related grounds or custodial experience preferred.
• Valid state driver’s license and willingness to travel between local sites.
• Successful background check, drug test, and fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize offices, common areas, and related facilities.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors; manage waste disposal.
• Maintain custodial closet and replenish supplies with the Chief Custodian.
• Perform specialized floor care and respond to emergency cleanups.
• Maintain district grounds; trim shrubbery and assist with snow removal.
• Inspect, operate, and safely maintain equipment.
