Grow Academy is accepting applications for a Custodian Substitute. The role supports year-round custodial maintenance, operating power equipment, buffers, vacuums, and cleaning floors, walls, bathrooms, kitchens, carpets and exteriors.
The position reports to the Facilities Supervisor and requires ability to perform varied cleaning tasks daily. Ideal candidates will have custodial experience in school or commercial settings and strong communication skills; bilingual ability is preferred.

Summary Description: The Custodian at Grow Academy is responsible to schedule, coordinate and perform routine and ongoing custodial maintenance of the Academy and immediately surrounding property. In this capacity, he/she will use and maintain power equipment and hand tools, buffers, vacuums, brooms, mops, squeegees and a variety of materials, for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, windows, bathrooms, kitchens, carpets, furniture and exterior walkways.

The employee is constantly required to remain in a stationary standing position, move about the work environment, and use hands and arms to handle, reach, and operate cleaning equipment. The employee is constantly required to push, move, lift or otherwise carry up to 10 pounds and may occasionally be required to push, move, lift or otherwise carry up to 50 pounds. This position requires the ability to observe and perceive information, including close, distance, and peripheral vision, necessary to perform job duties such as operating equipment. The role also requires the ability to perceive and respond to auditory information in the work environment as necessary to perform the essential job functions. Work is typically performed outdoors and within school buildings and may involve noise and exposure to the elements.
