Job summary

HUB 757 is looking for a Custodian and Event Crew Member to help keep spaces clean, safe, and welcoming for guests, students, and attendees. This role blends custodial duties with setting up and breaking down event spaces across weddings, meetings, seminars, and school activities.

Weekend availability is required, including Friday through Sunday shifts, with occasional late hours. You will follow diagrams, use disinfectants properly, and report supply shortages or equipment issues, while

Qualifications

• Knowledge of custodial work and safe use of cleaning products.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness.
• Ability to follow room setup diagrams and work independently.
• Willingness to comply with safety procedures and protective equipment.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors; vacuum carpets and remove spots and stains.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, fixtures, high-touch surfaces, and other assigned areas; replenish paper products and soap.
• Collect and remove trash, replace liners, and clean trash containers.
• Set up and take down tables and chairs according to room diagrams and event instructions.
• Clean furniture before storage, return items neatly, and reset spaces for the next event or daily activity.
• Keep walkways and exits clear, use cleaning products and equipment safely, and follow required protective equipment procedures.
• Stock your custodial cart, care for equipment, and report supply shortages, hazards, or equipment problems.
• Review shift instructions, coordinate with teammates and shift leadership, and participate in an end-of-shift walkthrough.
• Perform assigned opening and closing duties, including doors and alarm systems, following facility procedures.
