Christ Our Shepherd Center in Greensburg, PA is seeking an Event Set-Up and Custodial Assistant for part-time work up to 25 hours per week. You will configure spaces for daily use and events, while performing routine cleaning and preventive maintenance.

You will move tables, chairs, and staging, sweep and sanitize, monitor safety and compliance, and assist guests with directions and on-site needs. This role emphasizes reliability and adherence to floor plans.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–2 years of custodial, housekeeping, or facilities event support experience preferred.
• Ability to stand or walk for long shifts and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Basic communication, reliability, and ability to follow safety guidelines and floor plans independently.

Event Set-Up and Custodial Assistant

The Event Set-Up and Custodial Assistant ensure that building spaces are clean, safe, and properly configured for daily use and special events. This role splits time between heavy room configurations (moving tables, chairs, and staging) and routine custodial duties (sanitizing, sweeping, and waste removal).

This is a part-time position, normally scheduled for up to 25 hours per week, with a five days per week recuring schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Event Set-Up & Breakdown: Read room layouts or schematic drawings to arrange tables, chairs, staging, and equipment for events. Tear down and reset spaces promptly between functions.
• Custodial Maintenance: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors. Clean and disinfect restrooms while restocking paper products and soap. Empty trash and recycling bins across the facility.
• Safety & Compliance: Monitor public areas for safety hazards and adhere to fire codes regarding room capacity and exit pathways. Handle cleaning chemicals safely.
• Customer Service: Greet guests, assist visitors with directions, and communicate with event coordinators to address on-site needs.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience: 1 to 2 years of custodial, housekeeping, or facilities event support experience preferred.
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand or walk for long shifts, and lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
