Job summary

The Salvation Army Lawn Corps in the North & Central Illinois Division seeks a Custodian to maintain a clean, safe building including offices and Chapel, and to prepare rooms for corps activities.

The role requires basic maintenance knowledge, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work with Community Service Workers while following organization policies to support a healthy environment.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent preferred.
• Basic maintenance experience and knowledge of tools.
• Valid Driver’s license/MVR clearance.

Responsibilities

• Clean entire building including offices and Chapel; vacuum, mop floors.
• Attend bathrooms: replace towels, toilet paper, fill soap.
• Set up classrooms and rooms for corps activities.
• Inspect building, replace bulbs, remove cobwebs as needed.
• Assist with unloading food deliveries for pantry.
