Job summary

The Salvation Army Lawn Corps in North & Central Illinois is seeking a Custodian to join the team. You will perform cleaning, setup for activities, and help maintain a safe, healthy environment for employees and clients at the lawn corps location.

As a custodian, you will follow the Army’s policies and collaborate with staff to prepare spaces for programs while adhering to safety standards and local regulations.

Qualifications

• High School education or its equivalent preferred.
• Basic experience in maintenance and knowledge of related tools and equipment.
• Valid Driver’s license/MVR clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform building custodial cleaning duties including floors and bathrooms.
• Set up classrooms and designated rooms for activities and meetings.
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment for staff and clients.
• Follow policies and safety standards of The Salvation Army.
• Assist with unloading food deliveries for pantry when needed.
