Job summary

Georgia Tech is seeking a housekeeping worker to perform routine cleaning and upkeep in assigned buildings. The role involves interacting with custodial staff and building occupants but does not include supervisory or financial duties.

Responsibilities include cleaning restrooms, dusting, trash removal, restocking supplies, and operating various cleaning machines during 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 2:15pm-10:45pm) in Atlanta, GA.

Qualifications

• Educational requirements: Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Required experience: One year of job-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide housekeeping services within assigned area, including emptying trash, dusting, spot cleaning, restrooms cleaning and restocking supplies.
• Operate and maintain power equipment such as carpet vacuums and other cleaning machines.
• Maintain housekeeping/storage closets, tools, and equipment in a clean, orderly condition.
• Utilize prescribed safety equipment as required.
• Utilize chemicals and supplies in a safe and prescribed manner.
• Respond to work requests from building occupants and the department’s service request system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
