Job summary

The Pueblo of Sandia in Bernalillo, NM seeks a full-time Custodian to maintain cleanliness of tribal offices and facilities. Under supervision, you will perform heavy cleaning, sanitizing restrooms, windows, floors, and common areas, and support recycling programs.

You will work day shifts, follow SOPs, and mentor new team members as needed. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, pass a background check and drug screening, and hold a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Custodial experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
• Must possess valid New Mexico driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Dust, vacuum, trash disposal, clean and sanitize restrooms, windows, mirrors, walls, doors, and carpets.
• Comply with Facilities Department Standard Operating Procedures.
• Assist in emergency evacuations and safety procedures.
• Move or lift furniture and boxes as needed.
• Keep custodial equipment clean and maintained; report repairs.
