Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is seeking a Janitor to perform all-purpose cleaning and preserve areas inside client facilities, with flexibility to adapt duties to site requirements.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors, restrooms, windows, trash disposal, carpet care, and restocking supplies; occasional use of heavy equipment. On-the-job training is provided and opportunities exist within a leading facility services company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or at least six months of janitorial experience.
• On the job training will be provided.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and other objects
• Clean, monitor and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas
• Empty trash cans for proper disposal; use of compactor for certain materials
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and equipment
• Spot clean carpets; assist in carpet extractins and shampooing
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies
• Follow housekeeping schedule
• Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers
• Other duties as assigned, as required by the scope of work or customer needs
