Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is seeking a reliable Janitor to perform all-purpose cleaning and preservation of assigned areas inside client sites. The role emphasizes attention to detail and safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

You will follow established procedures, keep restrooms and common areas clean, and contribute to a welcoming, well-maintained facility. On-the-job training is provided; high school diploma or equivalent preferred, with six months janitorial experience welcome.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 6 months janitorial experience.
• On the job training will be provided.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and other objects
• Clean, monitor and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas
• Empty trash cans for proper disposal; use of compactor for certain materials
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and equipment
• Spot clean carpets; assist in carpet extractions and shampooing
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies
• Follow housekeeping schedule
• Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers
• Other duties as assigned, as required by the scope of work or customer needs
