Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is hiring a Janitor. The position is responsible for performing all-purpose cleaning and preservation of assigned areas inside a building or multiple client sites, with flexibility to meet client specifications.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors, restrooms, windows, trash removal, and using cleaning equipment; follow safety and chemical usage procedures and maintain supplies. High school diploma or 6 months janitorial experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or minimum six months of janitorial experience
• On the job training will be provided
• Attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions effectively

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming
• Follow procedures for use of chemical cleaners and power equipment
• Clean, monitor and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors and entrance areas
• Empty trash and manage waste disposal
• Clean windows, glass partitions and mirrors
• Spot clean carpets and assist in carpet care
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies
• Follow housekeeping schedule
• Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment
• Perform other duties as required by scope of work or client needs
