Job summary

The City of Lake Worth Beach is seeking a Custodian to perform custodial cleaning for City Buildings and Facilities. The role requires teamwork in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and reports to the Building Facility Manager at the Public Services Building in Lake Worth, FL.

This full-time, non-exempt position offers vacation/sick leave accruals, 13 paid holidays, 3 floating holidays, comprehensive medical benefits, and retirement plan, under the PEU collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in commercial janitorial work.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Clean, scrub, mop, and polish floors and surfaces.
• Empty trash and maintain wastebaskets.
• Replace light bulbs and assist in minor repairs.
• Move files and heavy furniture as needed.
• Assist in moving offices within City buildings.
