Job summary

St Francis Kindergarten & Nursery is seeking a Custodian to maintain a neat, clean, safe, and organized environment for the Daycare and school. The role supports the director and staff in daily operations and adheres to school policies.

The position is hired and evaluated by the principal, with responsibilities aligned to the parish ministry. The Custodian will ensure cleanliness, assist with events, and follow universal precautions while maintaining confidentiality and security of facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Familiarity with cleaning and safety practices is a plus.
• Valid Texas driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a neat, clean, safe, and organized environment daily.
• Clean classrooms, kitchens, hallways, bathrooms, and floors.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for meetings and special events.
• Maintain security of issued keys and buildings; follow safety policies.
• Communicate maintenance needs to the principal and staff.
• May work some evenings or weekends as needed.
• Collaborate with the pastor and school staff to support Catholic education.
