Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a dependable Maintenance Associate in New York to keep club facilities clean, safe, and welcoming for members. You will perform general maintenance, sanitation, and cart retrieval duties across the club, while supporting daily operations and member needs.

This role emphasizes punctuality, team collaboration, and adherence to safety protocols. Experience in janitorial work or retail environments is preferred, with opportunity for growth and full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• Prior maintenance or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
• Prior retail/wholesale experience preferred.
• May be less than 18 years of age to perform parking lot cart functions. Must be over 18 to operate equipment and enter age restricted areas.

Responsibilities

• Provides members with prompt and courteous service and maintains high safety and sanitation standards.
• Maintains cleanliness of all club areas including sales floor, offices, restrooms and outdoor grounds.
• Gathers and returns carts and flatbeds from the parking lot to the club entrance.
• Operates floor scrubber, trash compactor and cardboard baler safely and efficiently.
• Regular, predictable full attendance is an essential function of this job.
