Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is hiring for a general maintenance/janitorial role focused on keeping the club clean, safe, and welcoming for members and team members. You will move carts, clean facilities, and assist with basic repairs while upholding club standards and policies.

The position emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and a proactive approach to member service in a fast-paced retail environment. Weekly pay and comprehensive benefits are highlighted in the program.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• Prior maintenance or janitorial experience preferred.
• Prior retail/wholesale experience preferred.
• May be under 18 for parking lot cart functions; must be over 18 to operate equipment and enter age-restricted areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide members with prompt, courteous service and maintain safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor, offices, restrooms, and outdoor areas.
• Gather and return carts and flatbeds from the parking lot to the club entrance.
• Keep carts stocked, functional, and clean; remove unusable carts.
• Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks including mopping, sweeping, and trash removal.
• Maintain outdoor grounds, signage, and general club appearance.
• Assist with routine building repairs and notify management of major repairs.
