Job summary

Indiana University Indianapolis Campus Facility Services is seeking an experienced individual to lead custodial operations across campus sites. The role involves supervising custodial workers, coordinating daily tasks, and ensuring safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include training staff, reviewing work orders, maintaining inventory, and operating cleaning and moving equipment as needed. A valid driver's license and a high school diploma are required, with at least one year of leadership

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED/HSED).
• 1 year of work experience with demonstrated leadership skills.
• Possess a valid driver's license and ability to be insured by IU at hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise custodial workers and moving/setup staff; schedule and monitor work.
• Take inventory of supplies and place orders to maintain stock.
• On-site trainer to explain procedures and demonstrate equipment care.
• Lead routine and non-routine work; review and execute work orders; prepare furniture setups.
• Publish guidance for custodial staff; arrange tables, chairs, and PA systems for events.
• Relieve custodial teams as needed; perform custodial tasks when required.
• Operate vans or trucks to transport mobile crews between sites.
