Job summary

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule work for the group, including Duke and contract labor, ensuring proper staffing, space, equipment and supplies.
• Provide project management for certain projects requiring direct supervision of construction and/or maintenance activities; track labor and materials.
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with applicable codes; schedule inspections with City of Durham inspectors as required.
• Apply safety precautions including lock-out/tag-out, chemical safety, hazard communication, PPE, lifting procedures, and ladder safety.
• Layout, assemble and install systems and equipment in Medical Center buildings per blueprints and codes.
