Job summary

Pinellas County Administrative Services Division is seeking a Craftworker to join the Facility Operations Division in Largo, FL. The role involves installation, repair, and maintenance of building systems across county facilities, using carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical skills.

The position requires versatility, ability to read blueprints, and readiness to work varied schedules including standby.

Qualifications

• 3 years of skilled craft or trade experience in installation, alteration, repair and maintenance of building systems, subsystems and components.
• Two-year skilled trades program with diploma/certificate plus 1 year of related experience.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
• Possession and maintenance of a valid Florida Driver's License at hire.
• Assignment to work varied schedules including standby in special or disaster situations.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled work with installation, maintenance, diagnostic and repair of commercial building systems.
• Carry out carpentry, drywall repair, and painting tasks.
• Use hand tools and test equipment to measure low voltage control circuits.
• Install, repair and maintain plumbing and mechanical systems in large facilities.
• Perform preventative maintenance on plumbing valves and equipment.
• Repair electrical locking systems, switches, and related components.
