Job summary

Pinellas County Government is seeking a Craftworker/Building Maintenance professional in Largo, FL to perform skilled trades across building systems. The role includes carpentry, plumbing, mechanical maintenance, and basic electrical work in large facilities, with possible lead responsibilities on projects.

Requirements include 3 years of related craft experience or a 2-year skilled trades program with 1 year of related work, and a valid Florida driver's license.

Qualifications

• 3 years of skilled craft or trade experience in building systems, subsystems and components including carpentry, plumbing/mechanical and minor electrical.
• Diploma or certification from a two-year skilled trades program with 1 year of related experience.
• Equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, diagnostics and repair of building systems.
• Carpentry, drywall repair, and painting work.
• Maintain plumbing and mechanical systems in large facilities.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
• Lead or assist other workers on projects as needed.
