Job summary

Responsibilities

• Oversees work of apprentice tradespersons and directs unskilled workers in carpentry, structural, and general maintenance.
• Receives work orders and performs maintenance/repair tasks for county operations and events.
• Repairs holes in walls/ceilings, builds shelves/cabinets/fences, repairs roofs, gutters, doors, windows, and trims.
• Prepares surfaces for painting and applies paints; cleans surfaces and applies caulk.
• Responds to service/emergency calls for simple repairs and limits further damage.
