The St. Johns River Water Management District is seeking a Facilities / Senior Trades Worker to perform carpentry, electrical, painting and plumbing tasks across Palm Bay facilities.

This is a full-time, on-site role requiring hands-on maintenance, work-order processing, and coordination with the Facilities Program Manager. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED with four years of trade experience, are able to lift up to 40 pounds, climb, and work outdoors in Florida weather.

• Requires a high school diploma or GED and four years of trade experience.
• Work is onsite at multiple facilities in Palm Bay and surrounding areas.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 40 pounds.

Responsabilidades

• Performs minor construction and preventative maintenance (carpentry, roofing, tiling, landscaping, painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC) at Palm Bay Service Center and associated District facilities.
• Responds to facilities requests, assembles, installs, and moves furniture and office equipment; assists janitorial services to maintain a safe environment.
• Opens and closes routine work orders in CMMS; tracks labor hours, materials, status, and documentation; coordinates with service providers and reports progress to the Facilities Program Manager.
• Conducts facility, safety, and health inspections; assists with annual planning and budgeting; supports capital improvement project scopes of work.
