Position Information
The Abilene District is looking for a Facilities Coordinator I or II. We are looking for a detail-oriented, high-performing individual who has a strong work ethic and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty. Tasks include maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs in plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems, as well as the day-to-day tasks to keep the buildings operating and looking their best. The primary location for this position will be at the Abilene District Headquarters, with this role being responsible for traveling throughout the district to the Area and Maintenance offices, as needed.

Leads technical employees. Work requires contact with contractors and private entities. Employees at this level establish their own work plan and priorities to meet set objectives. Issues are rarely referred to the supervisor but are handled at the occurrence.
Essential Duties For a Facilities Coordinator I:Education: High School Grad or Equivalent in general high school studies.
Experience For Facilities Coordinator I: 6 years in building inspection, maintenance, utility systems, electrical, carpentry, painting. (Experience can be satisfied by full time or prorated part time equivalent). Related college education or relevant technical training may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis. Experience For a Facilities Coordinator II: 8 YEARS in Building inspection, maintenance, utility systems (Experience can be satisfied by fulltime or prorated parttime equivalent)
