Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing, Reading, PA, is seeking a Facilities Coordinator to provide full-time on-site support for the Technology & Education Center. You will help organize, prepare, and support meetings and events, open/close the facility, and manage service providers.

The role includes ordering supplies and handling shop/office administration. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent, 2 years in shop admin and customer service, and strong MS Office and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of shop administration experience preferred.

  • Proficient with MS Office software.

  • Respond to internal inquiries regarding use of the facility.
  • Perform shop cleaning and organization for facility changeover.
  • Open the facility in the morning.
  • Manage on-site service providers supporting the facility.
  • Assist internal customers via phone and e-mail.
  • Handle billing and ordering of supplies.
  • Assist with shop administrative processes.
  • Process daily office paperwork.
  • Operate computer terminal / Outlook for scheduling events.
  • Support other projects as assigned by manager.

Job description

Position Summary

The Facilities Coordinator will provide full-time support (M-F 7:30AM – 4:00PM) to Penske’s Technology & Education Center (PTEC) in Reading, PA. The individual will work with various internal and external teams to organize, prepare, and support meetings or events taking place on site. They will be responsible for opening the facility, cleanup and setup for the next day, including the management of service providers that support the building and grounds. This position is also responsible for ordering all shop and office supplies, including tooling and equipment needs identified by the team. This position will have Monday-Friday hours, 7:30AM – 4:00PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.

Major Responsibilities
  • Respond to internal inquiries regarding use of PTEC.
  • Perform shop cleaning and organization for facility changeover.
  • Opening of the facility in the morning.
  • Manages PTEC service providers who support the facility.
  • Assists internal customers via phone and e-mail
  • Handles all billing and ordering of supplies
  • Assist with shop administrative processes
  • All paperwork involved in daily office procedures
  • Operates computer terminal / Microsoft Outlook for scheduling events
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned by manager
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors’ degree preferred
  • 2 years of experience in shop administration is preferred
  • 2 years of customer service experience
  • Proficient skill with MS Office software
  • Excellent phone skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
