POSITION: Facilities Coordinator
LOCATION: New York, NY
HOURS: Full-Time
COMPENSATION: $25 - $30 per hour
ABOUT THE POSITION
ATG Entertainment is seeking a detail-oriented team player with strong handyman and communication skills to join our expanding facilities department. This role involves supporting ongoing maintenance at Broadway’s historic Hudson Theatre and providing vital coverage during shows at the Lyric Theatre, serving over 20,000 customers weekly. The ideal candidate is a proactive multitasker who can anticipate building needs in these dynamic venues, work independently, and perform well under pressure. Hours will vary, including mornings, weekends, and evenings.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance and Administrative:
- Conduct daily maintenance such as HVAC, fire panel, plumbing, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Perform minor repairs to maintain building appearance and functionality.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff during performances.
- Conduct pre-show inspections to identify hazards or needs.
- Oversee housekeeping during pre-show, showtime, and post-show.
- Communicate effectively with facilities and venue management.
- Prepare nightly reports for the Facilities Manager.
- Assist with preventative maintenance, repairs, and capital projects as directed.
Show Coverage Responsibilities at Lyric Theatre:- Ensure operational status of elevators, fire panels, pumps, sinks, and toilets before shows.
- Perform emergency repairs or coordinate external technicians during performances.
- Monitor BMS/HVAC systems to maintain desired temperatures.
- Complete administrative tasks like performance reports and maintenance logs.
- Oversee housekeeping during all show phases.
Additional Information
- Work at The Hudson Theatre & The Lyric Theatre.
- Collaborate with building departments and staff.
Experience and Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent; additional certifications preferred.
- 3+ years in facilities, trades, or similar roles.
- Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Certifications & Qualifications
- S12 & S13 (Sprinkler & Standpipe), S95 (Fire Alarm Supervision); must obtain if not held.
- Experience with landmarked buildings is a plus.
