Job summary

Intercos America is seeking a Facilities Coordinator to oversee daily facilities operations, ensuring a clean, safe, and functional site. You will manage cleaning schedules, equipment maintenance, and supply management while communicating with facilities staff, contractors, and management.

You will assist the Senior Facilities Manager, support onboarding and training, and help ensure safety, regulatory, and company standards are met.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3–5 years of facilities, custodial, or maintenance experience.
  • Experience in a coordination, scheduling, or lead role preferred.
  • Knowledge of custodial and facility maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with cleaning tools, industrial equipment, and chemical safety.
  • Basic knowledge of supply chain/inventory systems and scheduling practices.
  • Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for working with multiple departments.
  • Ability to train and support facilities staff.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) or other scheduling/inventory systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to identify issues and propose solutions.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor daily cleaning, maintenance, and groundskeeping activities to ensure facility standards are met.
  • Develop and maintain cleaning and facilities schedules in alignment with operational needs.
  • Track inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies; generate purchase requests and manage deliveries.
  • Serve as liaison between Senior Manager, Facilities and cleaning staff, contractors, and other departments.
  • Support Lead Cleaners in assigning tasks and monitoring completion of duties.
  • Schedule periodic deep cleaning, equipment servicing, and seasonal maintenance (e.g., snow removal, landscaping).
  • Inspect facilities to ensure compliance with cleanliness, safety, and quality requirements; elevate issues when needed.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new staff in cleaning procedures, chemical handling, and safety standards.
  • Compile reports on facilities activities, supply usage, and equipment conditions for management review.
  • Provide administrative support for audits, safety inspections, and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate special cleaning or facilities support for events and projects.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support overall facilities operations.

Position Summary

The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for coordinating daily facilities operations to ensure that the site is maintained in a clean, safe, and functional condition, overseeing cleaning schedules, equipment maintenance, and supply management while serving as a communication link between facilities staff, contractors, and management, providing administrative and operational support to the Senior Facilities Manager, and assisting in ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards.
