Position Overview

WCNC-TV is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Facilities Coordinator to manage general maintenance, repairs, and facility-related services across WCNC-owned properties. The role ensures our facilities are safe, clean, and operationally efficient.

Responsibilities
  1. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance issues in our 24/7 broadcast environment.
  2. Maintain the appearance and functionality of facility interiors, including carpeting, paint, and finishes.
  3. Coordinate with external vendors for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, and roofing services.
  4. Oversee landscaping and grounds maintenance contractors.
  5. Manage janitorial services, cleaning supplies inventory, and trash/recycling vendors.
  6. Liaise with vending service providers to ensure breakroom amenities are stocked and functional.
  7. Perform basic handyman tasks such as touch-up painting, fixing leaky faucets, drywall repairs, and hanging pictures.
  8. Collaborate with broadcast and IT engineers, reporting to the Head of Technology and Operations.
Minimum Requirements
  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. At least three years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  3. Valid North Carolina driver’s license.
  4. Strong follow-through skills and ability to complete tasks efficiently and on schedule.
  5. Ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, vendors, and management.
  6. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
