Job summary

Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center is seeking a Facilities Coordinator to provide administrative, operational, and coordination support for the Facilities department across its locations. The role serves as a central point for facility service requests, preventive maintenance, vendors, work orders, and communications, ensuring timely and effective addressing of facility needs.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration, facilities management, healthcare administration, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in administrative coordination, facilities, property management, construction, healthcare, operations, or a related field.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with cross-department collaboration.

SCOPE

The Facilities Coordinator provides administrative, operational, and coordination support for the Facilities department across the organization's locations. This position serves as a central point of coordination for facility service requests, preventive maintenance, vendors, inspections, work orders, documentation, and department communications. The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for keeping facilities-related activities organized, documented, and moving forward. The position works closely with Facilities leadership, Facilities Managers, maintenance staff, contractors, vendors, and internal departments to ensure facility needs are addressed timely and effectively.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to travel between organizational locations as required.
• Ability to walk through clinical, administrative, construction, and facility areas.
• Ability to occasionally enter mechanical rooms, utility areas, construction areas, and other non-clinical facility spaces.
• Ability to occasionally work outside normal business hours when required for facility emergencies or special projects.
