Job summary

X-fab Texas Inc in Lubbock, TX seeks a Facilities Controls Technician to install and maintain electrical control systems for the facilities team. You will work with GE, Square D and Allen Bradley PLCs, SCADA systems, sensors and field wiring to support reliable plant operations.

The role requires hands-on experience with PLC programming, VFDs and control instrumentation, along with strong troubleshooting and teamwork in a multi-disciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• A.S. in Electrical/Electronics or Electrician license with controls experience.
• Experience with PLCs, sensors, transducers and field wiring.
• Ability to design, program and install PLCs and VFDs.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair electrical control systems for the facilities organization.
• Repair and maintain existing control systems: GE PLC, Square D PLC, Allen Bradley.
• Design, develop and implement SCADA systems.
• Interface with Engineering, Safety and maintenance staff on controls issues.
• Learn area critical control systems and assist maintenance as needed.
