Job summary

X-FAB in Lubbock, TX is seeking an entry-level Facilities Controls Technician to repair and maintain control systems. You will work with GE and Allen Bradley PLCs, Square D PLCs, and SCADA interfaces, collaborating with engineering and safety teams daily.

The role requires an AS degree in Electrical/Electronics Technology or a licensed electrician with similar controls experience, and strong problem‑solving and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic control diagrams.
• Knowledge of control devices and instrumentation.
• Knowledge of sensors and transducers.
• Experience with field wiring and installation.
• Experience designing, programming, and installing PLCs.
• Experience designing, programming, and installing VFDs.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven team player and self-starter.
• Good problem solving and decision making skills.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain existing control systems.
• Support GE PLC systems.
• Maintain Square D PLC systems.
• Design and develop SCADA systems.
• Work with Allen Bradley control systems.
• Interface with engineering, safety and maintenance on controls problems.
• Learn area critical control systems.
• Assist requested maintenance as needed.
