Job summary

Southeastern Freight Lines is seeking a Construction & Facility Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance, repairs, and renovations of terminals across the Company footprint. You will manage budgets, inspect assets, and coordinate with service center managers, contractors, and vendors to keep facilities safe and reliable.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and contracting skills, plus a track record in facility maintenance. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred; HS diploma required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in building construction, facilities maintenance, or a related field.
• A High School Diploma or GED is required. A Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular maintenance inspections of service centers and document findings.
• Provide recommendations for improvements, necessary repairs, and prioritization of projects.
• Gather feedback and collaborate with Service Center Managers and Regional Vice Presidents to understand internal customer needs.
• Make independent decisions on minor maintenance projects and shared decisions on major construction bids and contractor selection.
• Prepare, monitor, and manage the annual maintenance budget; approve invoices for maintenance projects and vendor services.
• Prepare scope of work, solicit bids, obtain competitive prices, and oversee project execution to maintain facility standards.
• Develop project schedules, review plans and submittals, monitor progress, and ensure timely payment approvals.
• Receive and distribute final project closeout documentation and track costs for historical data.
