Job summary

Boyd Gaming is seeking an experienced engineering supervisor to lead maintenance and regulatory compliance across facilities. You will oversee staff, budget, and safety programs to ensure efficient operations and adherence to laws and standards.

Responsibilities include hiring and training, coordinating asbestos-related projects, and managing purchasing and inventory. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and several years of supervisory experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Environmental Management.
• Minimum five years’ general engineering and maintenance supervisory experience and/or eight years of progressive engineering experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develops an environment that excites guests and employees and promotes a skilled workforce.
• Provides superior customer service and resolves difficult interactions with resilience.
• Hires, trains, motivates, evaluates, and manages staff to meet objectives.
• Plans, implements, and monitors department objectives, standards, budget, and processes.
• Conducts inspections, collects data, and files reports to regulatory agencies for compliance.
• Inspects utilities and equipment to minimize OSHA violations during on-site inspections.
• Manages hazardous chemicals and coordinates cleanup to comply with regulations.
• Participates in long-term facilities planning and expansion projects.
• Coordinates asbestos-related projects with outside contractors and regulatory compliance.
• Oversees purchasing and inventory control within the department.
