Job summary

Black Hills State University seeks a Facility Worker in the Department of Facilities Services to maintain and clean offices, residence halls, classrooms and other buildings in Spearfish, SD. The role uses hand tools, cleans with chemicals, and may involve ladders and lamps replacement.

The position is full-time, 12 months, with a 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM schedule. Benefits include paid health and life insurance, retirement match at 6% of gross pay, and annual and sick leave.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize floors, walls, restrooms and furniture in offices, institutional buildings, and living quarters to meet sanitary regulations and enhance the appearance of the buildings
• Use hand tools to perform general building maintenance
• Work with a variety of chemicals; use ladders to clean windows and change lamps
