Job summary

The School Board of Broward County, Florida is seeking a Facilities Serviceperson to perform semi-skilled cleaning and related duties in schools and buildings. You will maintain cleanliness, order, appearance, and safe conditions.

Qualifications

• Ability to complete Basic Facilities Service training program and certification within probationary period.
• Ability to perform custodial work to standards.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and heavy labor-saving devices.
• Ability to follow written and oral English instructions.

Responsibilities

• Clean all areas assigned (cafeteria, restrooms, offices, gym, halls) per custodial standards.
• Empty trash and dispose of debris properly.
• Sweep, mop, strip and wax floors and walls.
• Replace light bulbs and clean fixtures; maintain equipment.
• Move and transport school furniture as needed.
• Maintain safety and report supply needs to supervisor.
