Qualifications

• Requires completion of Basic Facilities Service training program or equivalent.
• Custodial work experience preferred.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as shampooers and vacuums.
• Willingness to perform heavy lifting and climb ladders for bulbs/filters.
• Must follow English instructions for cleaning and equipment operation.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Computer use as required for the job.

Responsibilities

• Clean all assigned areas (cafeteria, restrooms, offices, gym, halls, exterior) to custodial standards.
• Empty and dispose of trash and debris in designated areas.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, strip and wax floors and surfaces.
• Perform heavy lifting such as moving garbage cans to the dumpster.
• Wash and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies.
• Change lights and clean fixtures; replace filters as needed.
• Move school furniture and assist with storage tasks.
• Inform supervisor of supplies and needed maintenance.
